what is Empodera?

The Empodera (Empower) course is an opportunity for people with disabilities to acquire tools that help them improve their possibilities to obtain and keep a job.

It is a 120-hour course that develops competencies and skills and through human development techniques, allows people with disabilities to identify their own strengths and personal, family and social areas of opportunity which empower them to reach their goals.

This course is certified by the  Secretaría de Educación (SEP) and the Secretaría del Trabajo y Previsión Social (STPS), both ministries of the federal government through the ICAT which is the Instituto de Capacitación para el Trabajo, an institute for job training, which validates the participants’ diplomas.

Besides participating in the course, the people with disabilities will do so throughout the job inclusion process which will allow them to improve their quality of life.
